Kitchen Fitters, Plumbers and Electricians in One Team
A kitchen needs more trades than almost any other room in the house: joinery, worktops, electrics for appliances and lighting, plumbing for the sink and dishwasher, plastering, tiling and flooring. Greentek Energy Ltd runs all of it in-house, because the hand-over between separate trades is where kitchen projects usually slip a week at a time.
Older Cardiff kitchens
Terraced houses through Cathays, Roath, Canton and Grangetown often have a galley kitchen in a rear extension that was added long after the house was built. Those rooms usually hide the same three things: old wiring, pipework that has been rerouted more than once, and walls that are anything but straight. We check all of it at the survey rather than discovering it on fitting day.
The order the work happens in
Strip-out first, then pipework and wiring moved to suit the new layout, then plastering and floor preparation, and only then the units, worktops, appliances and tiling. Fitting units onto straight walls and a level floor is what makes doors line up and worktops sit flush, and it's the step most rushed jobs skip.
Knocking through
Plenty of Cardiff kitchens get opened into the dining room or out into a side return. Removing a load-bearing wall means structural calculations, a steel beam and building regulations approval, all of which follow Welsh rules. We arrange that as part of the project so the kitchen and the structural work are quoted together, not separately.
